Tell us about yourself? And from how many years you are in this field?
The brand is 9 years young!
I’m the Creative head at Klick by RG. Inspired by fashion, I love to experiment, innovate and most importantly, always love what I do.
My background has been B.Com Hons. From Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Delhi University, followed by masters from Pearl Academy, New Delhi.
Brief us about your venture? And it is from which part of the country?
Our brands journey began with the idea and love for bags!
We are known all over India as well as overseas, for our genuine mother of pearl name embedded monogrammed mini-bags. Our brand is loved by Bollywood celebs, from Aliaa Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor to Sonakshi Sinha, Hina Khan, Aparshakti Khurana, Maniesh Paul, Kiara Advani, Soha Ali Khan, Chitrangda Singh, Mukesh Chhabra, Warda Nadiadwala, Kritika Kamra, etc. We also do more bespoke products like monogrammed belts, monogrammed scarves, totes, as well as monogram masks.
When was the eureka moment when you decided to have your startup?
During my post grad final year, we got an opportunity to showcase our creativity through our own designed range at our college exhibition. My clutch bags were adorned with elements like pencil shavings, metal studs, brass, mother of pearl designs and they were well received by the audience! This gave me a big pump and the idea of Klick by RG was born.
What is your biggest strength and weakness?
Working on my own ideas and inspirations and always trying to differentiate it from others has to be my strength. Apart from this my mom and my partner have to be my biggest strength. Weakness is a vacation!
As a woman entrepreneur, there are many challenges. Tell us what are the primary challenges which you have to face as a women entrepreneur?
Gender is just a state of mind. The balancing act is true equally for both men and women.
How do you deal with stress and challenges, especially during this pandemic?
This pandemic has made everyone realize the value of things and people. It has made us all more grateful. On a good note, we got to spend plenty of time indoors and relook at our product designs. We introduced monogrammed masks as it’s definitely the most shopped product of the year 2020.
Being a woman, you must be handling lot of things- tell us how you maintain a work-life balance?
Yes, That is true. That’s why women are known as phenomenal! They always manage handling whatever comes their way. Make sure that you work as well as play, and always make yourself a priority.
